Programs
YSU’s International Cooperation Department carries out the international cooperation of the university, which includes the divisions of International Relations, Foreign Students’ Education Organization, and Grants Coordination.
Yerevan State University stands out not only with its professors and students, educational programs, and research activities but also with a huge alumni community. YSU alumni community is the largest and most comprehensive in Armenia. Graduates of the university have always found their place in various fields of science, education, culture, and economy, and carried out political and social activities in Armenia and abroad.
Today, YSU implements a number of programs to coordinate, activate, and strengthen the university alumni community, creating additional development and communication opportunities for both alumni and the university.
YSU has a comprehensive and regularly updated alumni database, thanks to which university news and events are available to the widest possible circle of the community. In this section of the website, each university student has the opportunity to enter and/or update his/her data.
As an important communication tool of the alumni community, YSU develops and distributes the YSU alumni newsletter, through which community members have the opportunity to receive news, interviews, announcements, and other important information related to the university, YSU alumni, and the Armenian scientific and educational life.
The university plans to organize an annual alumni conference, which will gather its graduates from different years under one roof and allow them to present their knowledge and experience, as well as share their ideas and new approaches with both the university community and the wider public and professional circles.
Another important direction for the alumni community is the YSU alumni fund, which is in its initial stage. Through the fund, research and infrastructure projects will be implemented, scholarships will be awarded, and the university environment will be improved.
Currently, active work is carried out in the direction of the formation of the YSU alumni network. The network is expected to have professional and regional units, an executive committee, and a secretariat. The latter will be considered a structural division of YSU and will provide the necessary technical conditions for the operation of the network.
