Academic Secretary
The Academic Secretary of YSU prepares and implements the sessions of the Academic Council of YSU. The Academic Secretary, in consultation with YSU rectorate members, compiles the list of issues to be discussed at the sessions of the YSU Academic Council during the coming academic year and presents it to YSU structural divisions with a proposal to submit discussable issues. At least 5 days before the session of the Academic Council, the session agenda and the materials related to the issues on the agenda, if available (draft normative document, general information, etc.), are sent to the members. The minutes of sessions are signed by the Rector and the Academic Secretary. The latter also prepares the draft decisions of the session, which after being adopted are published on the YSU website.
The Academic Secretary informs YSU rectorate members about the session called by the Rector. The Academic Secretary implements the competitions for the positions of heads of chairs and professors, the positions of scientific and teaching staff of the university (non-faculty) scientific and scientific-educational units and the awarding of professor and associate professor scientific titles.
Under the rector's instructions, the Academic Secretary organizes state and department awards ceremonies for YSU employees and guests, as well as other related activities. The YSU Academic Secretary also performs the registration of papers submitted for defense in professional councils and confirmation of signatures of YSU employees.
