On October 9-10, 2024, the YSU Faculty of History will host an international conference titled "Current Problems and Prospects for the Development of Armenian Studies", dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Faculty of History.
The conference agenda will include the following areas:
- history, theory, methodology of Armenian Studies,
- problems of dividing Armenian history into stages,
- source study, issues of Armenian historiography,
- Armenian Studies and regional studies (Caucasus, Near and Middle East),
- archaeological research and issues of Armenian Studies,
- ethnographic/anthropological research and issues of Armenian Studies,
- cultural studies and problems of Armenian Studies,
- research of the history and theory of Armenian art and problems of Armenian Studies,
- theoretical and methodological problems of the ties between the history of Armenia and world history.
As a result of consideration of the submitted materials, new directions may be identified.

The organizing committee will notify participants about the selected reports by July 10, 2024.
Abstracts of reports will be published before the start of the conference.
Reports approved by the organizing committee will be published in a separate collection until December 2024.
The organizers cover the costs of accommodation for participants, transfer from the airport to the hotel and back, as well as meals.
