The YSU Faculty of Geography and Geology hosted representatives of Hayasa Resources Corp LLC, founded by Canadian company Fremont Gold Ltd, as part of their ongoing collaboration.
YSU Geography and Geology Faculty Dean Sargis Kelyan welcomed the guests and expressed his wishes for fruitful cooperation.
Luis Arteaga, a board member at Fremont Gold Ltd, a geochemist, Candidate of Geological Sciences, who also lectures at the Ontario Tech University (Canada), delivered a lecture, after which a professional discussion revolved among faculty lecturers and the speaker.
Dennis Moore, President and CEO of Canadian company Fremont Gold LLC, listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, emphasized the importance of the visit to YSU, noting: "The cooperation with Yerevan State University is important for our company, as we plan to foster new partnerships ties with state education institutes, local self-government bodies and non-governmental organizations."
Hovhannes Karapetyan, General Director of Hayasa Resources Corp, expressed hope that this cooperation will be continuous, within the framework of which mutually beneficial programs will be implemented.
Eric Jensen, Candidate of Geological Sciences, General Manager of Canadian company Royalty Corp, emphasized the significance of cooperation between geological research companies and professional educational institutions.
It's worth noting that two students from the "Geology" educational program participated in geological studies in Lori Province with Luis Arteaga and the working group, as part of the cooperation between the YSU Faculty of Geography and Geology and Hayasa Resources Corp.
At the end of the meeting, the guests toured the YSU Faculty of Geography and Geology, visiting professional classrooms and laboratories.
