Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology hosted Associate Professor Lusine Gharakhanyan, Acting Director of the Hovhannes Toumanian Museum, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, who delivered a lecture to students on the topic "Archetypes and Transformations in Hovhannes Tumanyan's 'Hazaran Blbul' (Thousand-Voiced Nightingale)".
"Hazaran Blbul" (Thousand-Voiced Nightingale) stands as one of Hovhannes Tumanyan's most extensive works, which he started early and left unfinished. The writer collected 60 versions of the fairy tale and almost until the end of his life, he searched for someone who knew its narrative. This is also the reason why archetypal images, as manifestations of humanity's collective unconscious, were expressed in variable and invariable forms in the work "Hazaran Blbul".
Lusine Gharakhanyan presented the archetypal system and transformations of the work which are considered key actors in this fairy tale. Usingpersonalized archetypes, the author conveyed to the reader the existential thoughts and deep reflections on changing the world and man, humanizing the world and returning the beastly man to his creative nature.
Undergraduate students and guests interested in the work "Hazaran Blbul" attended the lecture.
