Theology
Bachelor's degree programme
About the program
Continuously developing under constantly changing historical and cultural conditions theology has turned into a science with its sources, methods, and research traditions over time. Theology is a system of knowledge, a whole branch of the humanities (one can say an extended profession), which covers a wide area of study: history of doctrine, church law, inter-church relations, bibliography, introduction and interpretation of the Bible, canonical studies, manuscripts, religious art and archeology, patristic literature, biomedical ethics, etc.
Theology is also directly related to the creation of modern statehood, because today the development of states, which is based not only on science but also on religion and religious relations, is seen under the conditions of the multipolar system of the modern world. The challenges that the modern world puts in front of humanity, have forced us to pay special attention to the history of civilizations, which is directly related to faith. Historical events testify to the importance of the spiritual well-being of the world.
