Chair of Economics and International Economic Relations

The Chair of Economics and International Economic Relations was formed in 2016 based on the Chairs of Theoretical and General Economics and International Economic Relations. The Chair of Theoretical and General Economics (later the Chair of Theory of Economics) was founded in 1929, and the Chair of International Economic Relations was established in 1991. The latter was the first in Armenia in terms of its specialization.

From 2016 to 2023, Professor Gagik Galstyan led the Chair.

Since December 18, 2023, Ph.D., Associate Professor Grigor Hayrapetyan, has been heading the Chair.

The unit also teaches "Economics" and "International Economic Relations" courses in other YSU faculties.

The Chair of Economics and International Economic Relations implements the Master's degree programs on "Economic Policy and Law", and "International Economic Relations".
