On May 10, 2024, the YSU Faculty of Economics and Management hosted a lecture for 3rd-year students in the "Finance" and "Economics" educational programs. Ara Chalabyan, President of the Institute of Internal Auditors, and Angelina Mnatsakanyan, Vice President of the same institute and Head of Internal Audit at " Amundi-Acba Asset Management" CJSC, shared insights on the topic "Key Challenges in Internal Audit".
The speakers presented the principles and functions of internal audit, the differences between external and internal audit, their roles in corporate management, as well as the importance of introducing an effective risk management system to ensure the full potential of internal audit.
The meeting was held in an interactive format, allowing both students and lecturers to raise numerous questions throughout the session.
The Institute of Internal Auditors-Armenia (IIA-Armenia) was established in 2012 as a public organization by professionals in risk management and internal audit to promote and develop the internal audit profession in Armenia.
Since its establishment, the institute has been the representative of IIA Global, an institute of great international reputation and recognition, in Armenia. In September 2015, IIA-Armenia also became a full member of the European Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditors (ECIIA).
