YSU STUDENT COUNCIL PREPARED ACTIVITY STRATEGY. CONSTRUCTION CONGRESS HAS BEEN HELD
YSU Student Council convened today in the big hall of YSU with 4 items on the agenda.
The Assembly is the supreme body of the Student Council, which is attended by all delegates, chairmen of the Faculty Student Councils, as well as authorized representatives.
Speaking about important events chairman of the Student Council Davit Apoyan highlighted "YSU Student Development Program-3", where 60 students participated and gained writing skills, "YSU Student Self-Government Problems 2019", which aims to promote students' participation in inter-university social life. to provide students with relevant information and skills, as well as the Student Awareness Program, with 2,500 first-year students.
David Apoyan also touched upon the strike organized by a number of students of the Faculty of Armenian Philology and History, noting that the institution has published its official position.
According to David Apoyan, when talking about dishonest attitude one should remember the celebrations of YSU 100th anniversary, which, according to him, have failed.
Moving to the next item on the agenda, Amalia Soghomonyan, a member of the SC Audit Committee, presented the annual report of the committee's activity.
Khachik Abajyan, Vice President of YSU Student Council said, that different methods were used to formulate the strategic plan: surveys, focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, analyzes and team discussions.
The last item on the agenda of the session was the election of a member of the Steering Committee, as Khachik Abajyan is already a member of the presidency and cannot co-chair. Two candidates were nominated and Hasmik Chaloyan was elected as a result of open voting.
At the end of the session Director of YSU Student Affairs Center Vahagn Varagyan presented the awards to YSU Bronze Medalists on the occasion of YSU 100th Anniversary.
