YSU Faculty of Law SSS initiated today a seminar-discussion on "The Influence of Law on Human Behavior and Public Relations" led by Associate Professor Victoria Ohanyan, Chair of Theory and History of Law and History.
The seminar-discussion is dedicated to the universal regulator of public relations - law.
At the meeting, attended by students from different faculties, Victoria Ohanyan spoke about the potential impact of law within behavioral science.
According to her, the state is no longer liberal in the classical sense."We have long dealt with the concept of social state, where besides the concept of permissible behavior, we also have the concept of desirable behavior which the state wants to achieve by various means of public policy."
It was also discussed the role of nudge and beavioural science in general in relation to legal stimulation and policies targeting increase in the level of legal consciousness and development of legal culture, as the only long-term solutions to achieving behavioural change.
