A NEW MASTER'S DEGREE COURSE IN TOURISM TRANSLATION (ENGLISH-ARMENIAN)
The Department of Translation Studies of Yerevan State University is happy to announce the launch of a new Master's degree course in Tourism Translation (English-Armenian) providing students with a chance to gain expert skills in translation and interpreting with a focus on tourism Industry.
The course has been developed in close collaboration with the YSU faculties of Law, Theology and Economics to cover all major aspects of tourism industry, from tourism management and tourist guide code of conduct to the study of ancient Armenian monasteries and legal protection of tourists' rights, all this combined with intensive interpreter training in English, French, Spanish and Russian to ensure that the Master's degree translates into better career prospects.
The course highlights the importance of helping students gain professional experience. To that end they will be given a chance to do an internship in different international and Armenian organizations.
