YSU Alumni and Career Center was established in 2006, by the decision of YSU’s Academic Council. In the course of its activity, the center has organized a number of seminars-courses, informational meetings on the current demands and issues of the labor market with the involvement of employers, advisory meeting discussions (how to: write a resume, present yourself to the employer correctly, create a career), implemented short-term and long-term projects, and many others that are successfully carried out even today.
The Alumni and Career Center regularly informs university students and alumni about job vacancies, internships, volunteer work, programs, and other opportunities.
With the efforts of the Center, an internet portal of YSU cooperation with Enterprises was created.
The main goals of the center are:
- To support increasing the competitiveness of YSU students and graduates in the labor market,
- To promote sustainable cooperation between the university and various enterprises and organizations,
- contributing to the strengthening of the permanent connection between the graduates and the university and the development of cooperation.
The main objectives of the center are:
- Coordination, organization, and summarization of work carried out at the university by YSU students and graduates in the direction of issues related to finding a job,
- The organization of activities aimed at the formation of a certain work experience for students in parallel with their studies,
- Ensuring effective communication between students, graduates, and potential employers;
- Summarizing information about local and international labor market development trends, performing studies and analyses,
- Carrying out various studies among students and graduates on their career development expectations, the current state of competitiveness in the labor market, etc.,
- Organization of various consultations, courses, seminars, and other events for students and graduates on finding a job and other issues, dissemination of relevant information,
- Establishing constant communication and collaboration between alumni and the university.
The main directions of the center's activities are:
- Organization of seminars-courses and provision of advice,
- Practice programs on creating a resume, presenting yourself correctly to an employer, building a career, and other issues related to the modern labor market,
- Meetings with employers,
- Implementation of volunteer programs,
- Expansion of the alumni database,
- Cooperation with the state administrative system and private sector organizations,
- Informing graduates about vacancies and other opportunities,
- Organization of career development events, exhibitions, round table discussions.
