About the program
The Chair of General Physics and Astrophysics named after Academician Victor Hambardzumyan implements the program, with the scientific and educational resources of Byurakan Observatory named after V. Hambardzumyan.
Admission requirements
Admission is carried out with an oral examination. The applicants take a competitive exam in "Physics". The questionnaire also includes narrow professional questions from "Astrophysics".
The aim of the program
The program aims to prepare Masters who, having deep knowledge of astrophysics and its current issues will be able to work in institutions operating in both astrophysics and physics.
Advantages
The "Astrophysics" Master's degree program is the only astronomical educational program operating in the Republic of Armenia.
Career opportunities
Graduates of the program can get a job at YSU Physics Institute's Astrophysical Research Laboratory, RA NAS General Physics and Astrophysics Chair named after Academician Victor Hambardzumyan, Byurakan Observatory named after V. Hambardzumyan, as well as in research institutes of physics, and the field of scientific tourism.
Graduates of the program can continue their studies at the Chair of General Physics and Astrophysics named after Academician Victor Hambardzumyan of YSU, as well as in the Post-graduate course of Byurakan Observatory named after Victor Hambardzumyan.
