Service Chair
The "Service" specialty has been operating at YSU since 2008, and the Chair was established in December 2013. The opening of the Chair had become an objective public requirement due to the increased interest in the profession, and the imperative to create a "service society and state".
Since 2013, the head of the Service Chair has been Ph.D., Associate Professor Seyran Suvaryan.
A complete educational package for the "Service" specialty was developed and implemented in the Chair for the first time in RA.
Graduates receive a qualification in the Service after completing the Bachelor's education program (for both Service and Sustainable Tourism specializations), and after completing the Master's education program, they receive a qualification in "Service" or "Tourism" respectively (according to selected program).
The Chair implements the "Service" (Undergraduate) and "Service", "Sustainable Tourism" (Master's) educational programs in full-time and part-time modes of study.
Highly qualified specialists work in the Chair such as PhDs, Associate Professors, and a Dr. Professor.
The Service Laboratory and Experiential Tourism Center are located adjacent to the Chair.
Within the framework of the agreements signed with the universities of Wilhelmhafen, Moscow (RUDN), and Varna, graduates of YSU "Service" Bachelor's degree can study for a year at the mentioned universities, and another year at YSU while receiving two diplomas.
The vast majority of graduates work in the fields of educational, cultural, financial, banking, health, social, commercial, and tourism sectors.
