About the program
Three specializations are distinguished from the third year of the Bachelor's educational program: physical geography, hydrometeorology, and socio-economic geography.
Admission requirements
To receive higher education in the "Geography" educational program, the applicant must pass entrance exams in "Geography" and "Mathematics" or "Physics".
The aim of the program
The educational program aims to prepare specialists with the necessary knowledge, abilities, and skills in the field of "Geography" to work in the relevant sectors of the economy, giving the qualifications of a Bachelor's degree in geography, a Master's degree in geography, and a geography teacher qualification. Graduates are given the opportunity to work in various agencies and the field of education, they are provided with stable knowledge about the geographical spheres (lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, biosphere, human sphere) and the physical-geographical and social processes taking place in them, deep and stable knowledge of the course of natural and social phenomena, as well as about human-nature relations and sustainable development processes of social life.

There is a demand in the labor market for highly qualified geographers, hydrologists, meteorologists, landscape scientists, naturalists, landscape designers, and urbanists, and there are potential jobs for graduates of the program in base institutions, educational institutions, as well as research and management centers.

Having the knowledge and abilities corresponding to the existing requirements of the labor market graduates of the educational program can work in the RA Ministry of Environment, "HaypetHydromet" service, RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, RA Ministry of Economy, RA Ministry of ESCS, educational institutions, regional research centers, regional governments, municipalities, community governments, SNOCs.
