YSU Faculty of History summarized the results of the 4th Golden Seeds Educational Award in memory of Vahagn Tumasyan, hero of the 44-day Artsakh war and knight of the 1st degree Combat Cross. Students from the Chair of Archeology and Ethnography of the Faculty of History received monetary awards.
Since 2021, "HaySanta" Charitable Foundation has been running the "Golden Seeds: Presentation of Gratitude and Respect Educational Awards" program, which aims to pay tribute to the memory of young men killed in the 44-day Artsakh war, to contribute to the advancement of education and science by establishing educational awards named after immortal heroes and encouraging young researchers.
The educational award dedicated to the memory of Vahagn Tumasyan is a collaborative initiative between the YSU Faculty of History and the "HaySanta" Foundation. This program encourages students and post-graduate students of the YSU Chair of Archeology and Ethnography who demonstrate exceptional progress, innovative thinking, and a commitment to civic engagement.
4th-year students of the "Archaeology and Ethnography" bachelor's educational program Susanna Babayan, Levine Hambardzumyan and Ani Vardanyan were declared winners of the educational award (the prize fund was divided between them). The students of the Faculty of History expressed their gratitude to the organizers of the competition, emphasizing that receiving the educational award named after Vahagn Tumasyan is very binding.
It's important to note that a committee was established to evaluate the competition applications, comprising YSU History Faculty Dean, Candidate of Historical Sciences and Associate Professor Mkhitar Gabrielyan, YSU Archeology and Ethnography Chair Head, Doctor of Historical Sciences and Professor Hayk Avetisyan, "HaySanta" Charitable Foundation Director Armine Petrosyan, Vahagn Tumasyan's family members and benefactors.
