About the program
The Master’s degree program is of great significance. This is due to the need to face the scientific-political and upcoming challenges of the place, position, significance, prospects, and trends of the development process of the countries of the region in the context of new geopolitical and geo-economic rapid changes.
Admission requirements
Admission is carried out by the requirements of the "YSU Master's degree (full-time and part-time) admission procedure".
The aim of the program
The program aims to form a complete understanding of the geopolitical issues of the South Caucasus and the countries of the region among graduate students.
The educational program is aimed at preparing specialists who have received a basic education in "Caucasian Studies", and have full methodological abilities, fundamental knowledge, high theoretical training, and skills to perform research, as well as those oriented to administrative and socio-political activities.
Advantages
The importance and necessity of the implementation of the project are also due to the discussion of security issues in the relations between the regional countries and the development of their possible solutions.
While developing the "Caucasian Studies" Master's program, the similar educational programs of the scientific and educational centers of Georgia and the North Caucasus were taken into account, guided by international standards and norms.
Career opportunities
Graduates of the "Caucasian Studies" educational program (Azerbaijani, and Georgian specialists) have the opportunity to work in various spheres of the republic's social and political life.
While studying, students are allowed to do internships at the RA NAS Institute of Oriental Studies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Office of the Chief Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, the Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts, the Strategic Analytical Center "Arevelk", the Caucasus Institute, as well as other research institutes where they will have the opportunity to get to know and work with sources and literature related to their profession.
