Chair of Theology and Armenian Church History
The Theology Chair was founded in 1995. It organizes the teaching of professional courses in four main directions:
Introduction and interpretation of the Bible (Old Testament and New Testament),
Theoretical theology (doctrinal theology, patrology, Armenian theological bibliography),
Historical theology (general church history, history of the Armenian church, history of religions),
Practical theology (theology, moral theology, liturgy).
The teaching staff of the YSU Theology Chair includes specialists with various scientific degrees and international recognition, who carry out scientific-pedagogical activities. Dr. Hakob Kyoseyan is the head of the Chair.
The Chair of Theology offers students the opportunity to deepen their professional knowledge by visiting many sacred places in Armenia and participating in various festive ceremonies.
The Chair implements the "Theology" Undergraduate and "Doctrinal Theology" Master's educational programs.
