The report "The Role and Importance of Human Capital Assessments and Workforce Analysis for Effective Management" was published, which was compiled within the framework of collaboration between the YSU Faculty of Economics and Management and the ProService-L HR Management and Development Consulting Company.
The report was authored by Associate Professor Alvard Kharatyan, Head of the Chair of Mathematical Modeling in Economics at YSU, and Lilit Hakobyan, Founder of ProService-L Company.
Within the framework of the collaboration, a research study was conducted across more than fifty private sector enterprises in Armenia, in an attempt to find out the practice of workforce assessment and analysis, as well as its impact on managerial decision-making.
The research is based on the assumption that the scope of labor efficiency analyzes in the Armenian enterprises is limited and not sufficient for developing human resources strategies and making decisions aimed at business growth.
The summary report detailing the research findings is presented in the report "The Role and Importance of Human Capital Assessments and Workforce Analysis for Effective Management", the presentation of which took place on May 27th of this year at the YSU Faculty of Economics and Management.
During the presentation, the authors of the report presented key findings from the study, emphasizing the crucial need for further research continuation. They underscored that topics and issues concerning human capital have yet to receive due attention and that labor force analysis practices remain underdeveloped in Armenia.
This report details the findings of research conducted across enterprises in Armenia, presenting the conceptual challenges, approaches and methods of human capital assessments in the field of management, the international experience and modern information of compiling human resources reports and analyzing the workforce, as well as the results of a survey conducted in Armenian organizations.
The manual can be a useful resource for business managers, executives, HR specialists, teachers, students and others interested in these topics.
At the presentation, Associate Professor Karlen Khachatryan, Dean of the YSU Faculty of Economics and Management, highlighted in his interview that the manual is an outcome of collaboration with a research component, an example of university-private sector collaboration.
Back in 2022, the Faculty of Economics and Management at Yerevan State University and the ProService-L HR Management and Development Consulting Company signed a memorandum of cooperation, the purpose of which was to strengthen the university-business connection, to enrich science, theory and practice.
Associate Professor Karlen Khachatryan, Dean of the YSU Faculty of Economics and Management, Associate Professor Vardan Aleksanyan, Deputy Dean of the faculty, Associate Professor Narine Mirzoyan, Deputy Dean, professors, chair heads, lecturers, guests and students were present at the presentation.
