YSU Armenian Philology Faculty’s SSS, in collaboration with Writers’ Union of Armenia, hosted a dialogue between writers and readers, focusing on modern literature.
At the meeting, discussion revolved around the challenges faced by the writer, literary criticism, language integrity, choice of themes, and characteristics of modern literature. During the interactive question-and-answer session, students asked Tadevos Tonoyan questions, gaining deeper insights into his creative thinking and characteristics as a writer.
Arshaluys Galstyan, Dean of the faculty, Eduard Militonyan, President of the Writers’ Union of Armenia, as well as poets Arevshat Avagyan and Shant Mkrtchyan delivered speeches. Following their addresses, students, translator Asya Khachatryan, and the author performed a selection of the author’s poems.
Tadevos Tonoyan is not only a beloved poet among students but also a respected lecturer. He is an associate professor at the Yerevan State University's Armenian Language Chair, and enjoys the love and respect of both students and colleagues.
It is important to note that our collaboration with the Writers’ Union of Armenia and similar events will be continuous.
