Informatics (Computer Science)
According to the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia on "Admission to RA state and non-state higher educational institutions (Bachelor's educational program)" (April 26, 2012 No. 597), applicants take entrance exams in the following subjects:
Mathematics (Written), Physics (Written) or English (Written) - Competitive
The Armenian language (written): non-competitive
The program aims to:
- Provide students with fundamental knowledge of informatics and computer science;
- Develop the students’ algorithmic thinking,
- Provide practical professional skills in the application of machine learning methods, database design, mathematical modeling,
- Train professionals who will be able to create efficient computing algorithms, perform all stages of data analysis, and design, as well as implement local computer networks.
Career opportunities for graduates
Due to the quality and comprehensive knowledge obtained, the graduates of the Bachelor's program have the opportunity to be employed in RA universities, scientific organizations and enterprises, banking and information sectors (in particular, RA NAS Institutes, "Synopsis", "Armenian Programs (Arm Soft)", "Instigate Robotics", in the companies such as "Digitain" LLC, "EPAMsystems", "PikaArt" LLC, etc.)
