General information
Two-dimensional metal oxide structures are the subject of intensive researches, due to their unique semiconductor and morphological properties,. Such two-dimensional materials, as tin oxide, attracted significant attention in the fields of gas sensors applications, because of its surface-volume high ratio, stability, and other physical properties. Nowadays, computational methods are widely used for the structure predictions and property studies of such materials. The goal of this proposal is the computational search for new two-dimensional materials in Sn-O systems, the investigation of the stability conditions, and exploration of the physical properties of those materials. The proposed research will allow us to offer new materials that will be used to manufacture sensitive gas sensors.
