General information
The social, political, economic, socio-cultural life of Armenia in recent decades was marked by certain worldview, ideological, psychological shifts in the society, changes in values and perceptions, activation of cultural and religious life, which was also conditioned by changes in world politics and science. At the same time, recent Armenian history has been accompanied by "marginal situations" widely used in modern social sciences (Artsakh movement, earthquake, collapse of the USSR, Armenian Genocide in Azerbaijan, economic crisis, emigration, Artsakh wars, COVID, etc.). The main goal of the program is to study in the context of modern challenges, and to analyze systematically the peculiarities of the religious life of Armenians in recent decades, religious processes in "marginal situations", changes in the religious behaviour of the population. The research will be carried out by the methodology of religious, ethnographic, ethnosociological and psychological studies. During the implementation of the project, articles, a collective monograph will be published, and reports will be provided within the framework of seminars and conferences.
