The Problems of Youth Social Adaptation in Post-war and Post-COVID-19 Armenia: Realities and Prospects

Unprecedented transformations are taking place in modern Armenia, connected with the realities of war, epidemic, global economic crisis. In such situations, the youth becomes more vulnerable. The youth is the main social potential of any society, on the mobilization of which the future viability of the society depends. In such crisis situations, the future development of the society depends on the behavioral models of responding to such situations of the youth, that is, on the models of their social adaptation. Social adaptation is defined in a broad sense as the social subject's active response to a changing social reality in which he or she seeks to achieve his or her goals by implementing a certain behavioral model. It can be constructive or catastrophic. The scientific goal of this research is to identify the strategic models of social adaptation of the youth of the Republic of Armenia in the current conditions, to assess the main factors influencing the level of adaptation and to predict the possible perspectives of changes in the level of adaptation, depending on those factors. It is planned to develop a new model for measuring of youth social adaptation level, taking into account the current social situation in Armenia.
