General information
Investigation of the effect of sensor design on the analytical performance of localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR)-based detection methods is the goal of the project. Theoretical and experimental studies will be conducted to assess the influence of parameters such as the number, density, and arrangement of nanoparticles on their plasmon responses. The effect of the particle aggregations on the collective response of the system and possibilities of increasing the sensing efficiency will be studied. For ensemble measurements, samples with varying surface densities of particles will be compared regarding their LSPR signal. A special point for investigations is the coffee stain effect, which can induce particle aggregation at the border region of the droplet.
