Physical-Technical Research Laboratory
In 2017 Physical-Technical Research Laboratory was established at YSU under the YSU Faculty of Radiophysics (now the Institute of Physics).
In the Physical-Technical Research Laboratory, research studies are carried out in the following directions:
- Design of a super-sensitive sensor for recording seismic oscillations in the optical range, localization of surface plasmon polaritons at the cone-shaped optical fiber tip end,
- studies of low concentrations of metal nanoparticles in liquid in the microwave and optical ranges,
- design of semiconductor gas sensor.
In the Physical-Technical Research Laboratory experimental works as part of undergraduate and graduate students' graduation papers of the Institute of Physics and research studies of postgraduate students are conducted as well.
Within the framework of the "Automation Practice of Scientific Experiment" subject of the Institute of Physics, laboratory works are carried out at the Physical-Technical Research Laboratory, which contributes to broadening students' experimental knowledge.
