Chair of Numerical Analysis and Mathematical Modeling

The Chair of Numerical Analysis and Mathematical Modeling was established in 2007 based on the Chairs of Applied Analysis and Mathematical Methods and Modeling of the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics. The scope of scientific directions of the chair is significantly determined by the famous Armenian mathematician S. Mergelyan's activity.

Recognized and leading specialists of the Republic, who are the authors of educational manuals, university textbooks, and scientific articles published in prestigious scientific periodicals, teach at the Chair.

The research directions of the chair are:

• computational mathematics,

• theory of interventions,

• functional analysis,

• optimization methods,

• mathematical modeling,

• theory of differential equations.

The chair implements the Master's program "Numerical Analysis and Mathematical Modeling".
