Chair of Numerical Analysis and Mathematical Modeling
The Chair of Numerical Analysis and Mathematical Modeling was established in 2007 based on the Chairs of Applied Analysis and Mathematical Methods and Modeling of the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics. The famous Armenian mathematician S. Mergelyan's activities significantly determined the range of scientific directions of the Chair.
Well-recognized and leading specialists of the Republic, who are the authors of educational manuals, university textbooks, and scientific articles published in prestigious scientific periodicals, teach at the Chair.
Since 2021, the head of the Chair of Digital Analysis and Mathematical Modeling has been Ph.D., Professor Hakob Hakobyan.
The scientific directions of the Chair are:
Computational mathematics,
Theory of interventions,
Functional analysis,
Optimization methods,
Mathematical modeling,
Theory of differential equations.
The Chair implements the Master's degree program on "Numerical Analysis and Mathematical Modeling".
