YSU Faculty of Geography and Geology receives new maps in Armenian YSU Faculty of Geography and Geology has received new educational maps in Armenian from the partner company "Center of Geospatial Technologies". Meeting at museum dedicated to activity of Tigran and Zapel Yesayan At YSU History Museum a lecture-meeting dedicated to the life and creative activity of Polish-Armenian intellectuals Tigran and Zapel Yesayan was held, which aimed to revalue the role of one of the most prominent women of the 20th century, Zapel Yesayan and her husband, artist Tigran Yesayan in the fields of literature and art.
Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran Mehdi Sobhani visits YSU Following the aim of strengthening cooperative relations between YSU and leading educational institutions in Iran, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani visited the YSU Faculty of Oriental Studies and delivered a lecture on regional issues.
Center of Georgian Studies opened at YSU At YSU Faculty of History, the Center of Georgian Studies is opened, which is going to serve as a significant platform for the development of Georgian studies in Armenia. Educational and research programs of the center will create new opportunities to explore and recognize the language, culture and history of neighboring Georgia. The center will also play a great role in establishing cooperation between YSU and the leading universities of Georgia by serving as a platform and initiator of joint programs.
