Lecture at YSU: "Syriac Studies in Europe – Past and Present" As part of the meeting at YSU, Dr. Aho Shemunkasho, Head of the Syriac project at the University of Salzburg and Lecture, delivered a lecture on the establishment and development of Syriac studies in Europe. The purpose of the meeting was to increase student interest in the Syriac language by outlining possible new ways of cooperation.

State-of-the-art devices for studying useful properties of plants and fungi Armenia's rich biodiversity, including fungi and plants, are in the domain of YSU researchers’ study. Secondary metabolites in fungi and plants and their antifungal and antioxidant activities are currently being studied in the Laboratory of Botany and Mycology of the Research Institute of Biology. To organize the work more systematically, the institute will receive new generation devices.
YSU celebrates International Geologist's Day The International Geologist's Day was solemnly celebrated at YSU. During this occasion, the university signed memorandums with the Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure and the leading institutions in the field of geology, with the aim of developing the educational sector and enhancing the university-labor market linkage.
