About the program
Admission requirements
To be admitted to the "Nanophysics and Advanced Technologies" educational program, the applicants take exams in "Mathematics" (compulsory), "Physics" or "English" (optional).
The aim of the program
The program aims to provide students with fundamental knowledge and practical skills regarding nanophysics and related modern leading technologies, including nanotechnology, to present the most important directions and perspectives of the development of modern material science, quantum technologies, and high-tech productions, to stimulate the student's critical thinking, to develop intellectual potential and fundamental knowledge, the capacity of practical application, to develop initiative and skills to apply professional abilities in various spheres of society's life.
Advantages
Upon successful completion of the educational program, students will be able to present the fundamental principles, concepts, laws, functions, and problems of the main sections of physics, the applications of the fundamental achievements of physics in condensed state physics, optoelectronics, nanoscience and other fields, to explain the physical properties of nanosystems, presenting in-depth analyzes of basic physical principles, with knowledge of theoretical and experimental methods, as well as to present fundamental achievements and existing problems of modern physics, achievements of nanoscience, development directions and expected results, to describe modern quantum technologies and their possible applications. Graduates will be able to present the principles of operation and basics of use of experimental devices used in modern physics.
