Arnold Vardanyan, Lecturer at the YSU Faculty of Law, Candidate of Legal Sciences and Master of Laws of Edinburgh University was invited to present a report at the prestigious international law conference organized by Cambridge Faculty of Law on April 8-9, 2024.
During the report on the intersection of peace and stability in international law, Arnold Vardanyan presented the background of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the unsuccessful attempt at a peaceful resolution over recent decades, and the current obstacles hindering the establishment of peace and stability in the region. Additionally, the speaker referred to his study of the international experience of concluding peace agreements, which he conducted at the University of Edinburgh.
At the beginning of this year, Arnold Vardanyan's report was selected by the Cambridge Faculty of Law through a competitive process from among approximately 230 scientific research applications submitted by scientists worldwide."
Before the conference, the summary of Arnold Vardanyan's report was published on the Cambridge International Law Journal Blog. It is planned to present the research prepared as a result of the conference on the topic of the report for publication in the Cambridge International Law Journal.
For participating in this conference, Arnold Vardanyan was also awarded a scholarship from the "H. Hovnanian" family foundation.
